Last weekend I had the chance to attend one of my favorite fashion shows of the year, The Pin Show, at the historical venue, the Bomb Factory. The Bomb Factory started out as a factory for Ford automobiles in the early 1900's. Taking on a change in the 1940's, the factory was then used for the mass production of bombs and ammunition in WWII, creating the title of "Bomb Factory". In the 90's the building was renovated to host some of the most famous bands known today.
The Pin Show is one of the greatest events Dallas has to offer, showcasing local designers to designers from across the country, The Pin Show features over 20 designers each year and over 120 looks. This year 22 designers were featured: The Style Conscious, Kae and Jae, Indigo 1745, Melancholic Design, Sam Morgan (a close friend of mine), Marek + Richard, Sacred Heart Collection, Nita Marie, Elle Luxx, Copper Signatures, Hardly Alice, Mahogany Blues Swimwear, Beaus+Ribbons, CarmenIris, Ana Pesqueira, Yomono, Megan Surber, Civil Revolution, EcoArmoire, This One Woman, and Thrll. To find out more about these designers and their lines go to http://www.thepinshow.com/2015-designer-profiles.html.
My chosen gown for the evening is from http://www.znu.com/, a great website to find amazing deals on the latest in fashion, and score even better deals than where you usually shop. I was drawn to this gown because I love the Jessica Rabbit look it brings out. You can find this dress at http://www.znu.com/sexy-backless-cross-strap-maxi-floor-length-long-bandage-slim-evening-dress.html. It wouldn't be a complete look for me without some added vintage glam. The accessories featured are all vintage. Scroll through to find out more details!
Featured below are my favorite vintage jewelry pieces of the 50's.
Along with a 50's handbag.
With my ever so handsome boyfriend Sam Patterson. He is wearing a vintage 1960's Neiman Marcus suit, Stacey Adams shoes, vintage button down, and pocket square.
Photo below is by Samuel Hsu! Posing with my best friend Ryane Delo, whom I go to fashion school with, and my boyfriend Sam. Somehow we all managed to coordinate perfectly.
These gorgeous photos of the show are by my friend Vladimir Meyman. To see more of his work, follow him at his photography page on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/meymanphoto?fref=ts.
Here are some of my favorite looks of the night!
A special feature goes to my beautiful friend and beyond talented designer Sam Cogley of Sam Morgan. Her looks stood out among the sea of black and white. She has a way of incorporating color to catch your eye and brighten your mood. Here is a glimpse at her looks of the night, by photographer Art Cash:
Here is a shot below of the many one of a kind looks you can find on her website at http://www.sammorgandesign.com/. They are so creative and like no other. Be sure to check out her lookbooks!
